As a Homage Care Professional (CP), you are entrusted with access to highly sensitive personal and medical information. This is a responsibility we take seriously—and you must too.
This guide outlines your responsibilities under the Personal Data Protection Act (PDPA) and Homage’s Care Professional Terms of Service, including key privacy, confidentiality, and conduct expectations.
🔐 1. What Is Personal Data?
Under PDPA, “personal data” includes any information that can identify an individual. For Care Recipients (CRs), this may include:
- Name and full address
- Phone numbers and emergency contacts
- Medical conditions or medication
- Care instructions or observations
- Photos/videos, including vital signs or assessments
🚫 2. What You MUST NOT Do
❌ Share or store personal information outside the Homage app
- Do not save client data on your phone, notes app, personal folders, or chat groups
- Do not share CR information over WhatsApp, SMS, Telegram, or other messaging tools—even with Homage staff
❌ Post anything on social media or messaging platforms
You must not share any photos, videos, or information related to your visits—even if anonymised.
This includes:
- Photos/videos of the Care Recipient, even medical devices or readings
- Selfies or photos showing both the CR and you (the CP)
- Any content posted to Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, LinkedIn, Telegram, WhatsApp, WeChat, etc.
📷 3. Photos and Videos – Only for Reporting
- Images/videos may only be captured when explicitly needed for care documentation (e.g., wounds, vitals).
- Such media must be submitted immediately via the Visit Summary form and deleted from your device right after.
📋 4. Stay Within Your Visit Scope
You are only authorised to perform care tasks outlined in the visit briefing.
If a client asks you to:
- Run errands
- Provide extra services (e.g., cleaning, repairs, massage)
- Promote or offer your own side business
You must decline politely and document the request in the Visit Summary. Our Care Operations team will follow up.
⚠️5. Breach Consequences
Violating PDPA or Homage’s confidentiality rules can result in:
- Immediate suspension or contract termination
Investigation by regulatory authorities - Legal liability, including fines or criminal penalties under PDPA
📢 6. Reporting Mistakes or Concerns
If:
- You think you might have accidentally shared client data
- A client has asked you to do something outside your scope
- You see another CP breaking the rules
Please report it right away through:
- The Visit Summary comment field, or via Get Help
We handle all reports confidentially and fairly.
