When faced with an emergency during a care visit, you must first determine the type of incident before proceeding to the next step, either to contact the relevant authorities or to inform our Live Ops team.
Refer to the Escalation Protocol below to determine the type of incident and the recommended corresponding action.

Definition

An injury or illness that could potentially result in death or serious complications if not treated immediately.

Actions |
- In the presence of NOK/CO, inform NOK/CO immediately to advise on 995 activation
- In the absence of NOK/CO, Call 995 immediately
- Inform our Live Ops team using the "Chat with us" function on Get Help (Get in touch)
- Stay on-site to perform necessary care (i.e CPR) if required
- Inform emergency personnel of the sequence of events, signs, symptoms etc
- Await further instruction from the Live Ops team
- Document events in Visit Summary in chronological order

- Inform our Live Ops team using the "Chat with us" function on Get Help (Get in touch) of medical issues observed immediately
- Await further instruction from the Live Ops team
- Update the Live Ops team if CR’s condition worsens and results in further acute situations
- Document events in the Visit Summary and include photographs if applicable

- Await further instructions from the Live Ops team
- If there is a risk of physical injury caused by the CR / CO / NOK due to violent behaviour:
- CP to leave the premises and contact the Live Ops team immediately
